and how hard it was
when you turned away.

I loved you for your spirit

I wanted you for your mind.

I ached to touch you.

I ached for you to touch me.

I wanted you to want me.

I needed you to need me.

I wanted you to remember
why you wanted me,
and how it felt
when I was in your arms
And turned to you
