A first…
August 26, 2019
Well today I am trying a spinning class for the first time…I know I’m fitter than I have been in 30 years… but I’m still worried about it!
Zumba didn’t work for me… my knees (or rather my left knee) didn’t hold up to the constant bouncing and twisting… swimming and water aerobics are great but I need something with more impact… I was thinking about running, but again I worry about my knee… although to be fair it has been holding up to walking… ochhh I don’t know… I guess what happens will happen..
A girl and her dog
August 25, 2019
what a lovely “dog” day we had today… a wee visit to “Bark in the Park” after a walk round Lochore Meadows. It was too nice a day to just go home, so we headed over to Linlithgow, planning on walking round the Loch there but it was a bit further than we thought, and because I have my first spin class tomorrow, I didn’t want to further irritate my knee… so a wee stroll and ice cream made up for it! … looking forward to our weekend up in Fort William next week… and a nice wild swim in the Loch with Matt! … I think Ros and Fiona will just cheer us on!!
Toffee

When Ros decides to make toffee… and sticks her teeth together… haaahaaaa peace!!!
Happy birthday!
August 11, 2019
What a lovely evening we had at The Ship in Kinghorn for Ros’s surprise birthday dinner… great company and great food!… which was slightly overshadowed by the horrendous drive home in torrential rain and having to deal with closed and flooded roads!… thankfully, after a few heart stopping moments, we made it home safe and sound! Certainly a night to remember!
Armed Forces & Veterans Breakfast Club
August 5, 2019
Well … what a weekend … our first even in Dunfermline and it was a huge success … there was a lot of work going on in the background … and to be honest by the time Saturday came Ros and I were exhausted!
Our local provost Jim Leishman kindly came along to officially open the group and we had over 28 attendees … I say “over” as some forgot to sign in! but it was an amazing amount for our first breakfast.
The club ended at 12pm and I dropped Ros off in Kirkcaldy to do some shopping for her crafts at Rejects, while I headed out on a family visit … by the time I picked her up again I could hardly keep my eyes open.
I ended up going to bed at 8pm … we both did … and for someone who sleeps normally for around 5 hours … I slept for a whole 9 hours and 50 minutes! … Sunday was a bit of a wipe out as my brain was too foggy to think straight!
Thankfully all back to normal today … swimming and water aerobics done … WW tonight (not looking forward to that though!)
Photos from our first meeting!
