Brae. A gay woman's tale!

True friendship is a wonderful gift. I am very lucky with the people who are in my life. There will always be transient friendships, the comers and goers that float from one friendship to the next and that’s fine, not everyone will stay (and you won’t always want them to!)… but true friendship is a wonderful gift. I know I’m lucky…I have some wonderful friends that I trust completely (even if we are not always in constant contact). I remember my gran telling me that people with no long term friends in their life are not to be trusted, their loyalty will always come at a price you won’t want to pay. Life has taught me the truth in that (both in friendships and relationships). True friendship is a gift that works both ways and I only hope I can give as much as I receive.

Deeper love is formed in loyalty and commitment and produces trust over time. Going through the ups and downs, the sweet and romantic, the aggravation and flares of anger. The temptations, the aspirations. The Vacations and inspirations. The times of weakness, of sickness. A time of health and gladness. Doing what you don’t want to do, not doing what you do want to do. Sometimes getting exactly what you both wanted. Meeting in the middle then being able to look at each other at the end of the day and still say “you’re worth it all.” That’s love. Love built over time on the foundation of trust, fed by loyalty and commitment.

What a day!… Had to go through to Penicuik for a family visit today… thought I’d pop into Tesco’s for a coffee…. only to find that they no longer have a cafe!!

A very nice lady gave me directions to a cafe… but due to road closures I was sent on a diversion and ended up heading to Peebles!! I gave up on a coffee!

After my family visit I headed home and got stuck in a huge traffic jam on the bypass!

When I did eventually get home I had an email from Amazon telling me they had left my new handkerchiefs in the garden… and attached a photo… I have no idea whose garden this is! It’s not mine!
